What is ecoPayz?
Initially founded as ecoCard in 2000, ecoPayz is an e-wallet service owned by payment solutions company PSI Pay, based in Horsham, England. Since 2008, PSI and ecoPayz have been regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), becoming authorized as a specialist electronic money issuer in the process.
ecoPayz is used as an online payment and money transfer service – both internationally and domestically. Registering an ecoPayz account is free and open to everyone without the need for any credit checks. When registering, users must specify a mobile phone number to link to their account, which is then used for authentication processes each time the user logs in.
Like other e-wallets, ecoPayz is not a bank account, but rather a kind of in-house account that has grown to become an invaluable banking option at many online casinos. This is due to its ability to facilitate fast payout times and lightning quick deposits, its high limits on transactions, and solid security infrastructure that make payments as safe as possible.
But unlike PayPal and other e-wallets, ecoPayz operates as a prepaid service, so funds are not inherently linked to any bank account. As a result, ecoPayz users will not be able to spend any money that is not already deposited in their account, and can only link a bank account for the purposes of a withdrawal. There are a number of different depositing methods available with ecoPayz, including Visa, Trustly, Paysafecard, and many more.
