What are Wagering Requirements?
Also known as playthrough requirements, wagering requirements specify the number of times players must wager the bonus amount before they’re eligible to withdraw any bonus winnings as real cash. For free spin bonuses, wagering requirements are attached to any winnings generated from the free spins.
When looking at the terms and conditions of a bonus, you’ll see the wagering requirement expressed as a multiplier, such as 20x, 30x or more. As you might imagine, high wagering requirements are a negative for players, since they make it more challenging and time-consuming to convert bonuses into cash.
Players may also find that casinos attach extra conditions that make it tougher to meet wagering requirements. For example, betting on certain games may not contribute towards the wagering requirements, and players are likely to find that they’re also in a race against the clock to meet the requirements, which can bring a pressure to commit more funds than desired.
No wagering casino bonuses, on the other hand, have no such stipulations. Anything won with a no wagering bonus can be withdrawn right away, without the need to place additional bets.
